This Cookie Notice explains how Excel Armor uses cookies and similar technologies on the website https://excel-armor.com. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognize your device and to remember your preferences. We also use similar technologies such as local storage.

2. Which cookies we use

2.1 Strictly necessary

These are essential for the Site to function. They cannot be switched off. They include cookies set by our hosting provider Netlify for security and basic operation, and cookies that remember your cookie preferences. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure Site (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) or, where applicable, the equivalent of Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive exemption for strictly necessary cookies.

2.2 Analytics

We use Umami Cloud, a privacy-first, cookieless analytics service operated by Umami Software, Inc. Umami does not set any cookies, does not collect personal data, does not use device fingerprinting, and does not track you across websites or sessions. It records only aggregate, anonymous metrics such as page views, referring website, browser and operating system family, and country (derived from the IP address but never stored).

Because Umami is cookieless and does not process personal data or device identifiers, no consent is required under GDPR Article 6 or the ePrivacy Directive. We rely on our legitimate interest in measuring aggregate traffic to operate and improve the Site (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). Umami Cloud is operated from servers outside the European Union; data transfers rely on the safeguards in Umami Software's standard terms. If we ever add a client-side analytics tool that uses cookies or collects personal data (for example Google Analytics), we will not load it until you give your consent through our cookie banner.

2.3 Functional

If we add features such as embedded videos, chat widgets or social-media buttons, those may set additional cookies. We will not load such features until you give consent.

2.4 Marketing

We do not use marketing or advertising cookies on the Site. If this changes, we will update this Notice and request your consent before any such cookies are set.

3. Managing your preferences

Where consent is required, you can give, refuse or withdraw your consent at any time using the cookie banner on the Site. You can also manage cookies in your browser settings; instructions are available at allaboutcookies.org. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may cause parts of the Site not to function correctly.
