Refund Policy

This Refund Policy describes when and how you can request a refund for Excel Armor purchased from Excel Armor ("we", "us"). It forms part of our Terms of Service and our EULA.
1. EU and UK consumers - 14-day right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer with habitual residence in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have a statutory right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days from the day on which the contract was concluded, without giving any reason, in accordance with Directive 2011/83/EU on Consumer Rights and the equivalent provisions of UK law.
2. Express waiver for digital content delivered immediately
Excel Armor is digital content that is delivered immediately upon purchase by means of a download link and a license key. Under Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU, you lose your right of withdrawal once performance has begun, provided that:
- You have given your prior express consent to begin performance immediately; and
- You have acknowledged that you will lose your right of withdrawal once performance has begun.
At checkout, you will be asked to actively check a box confirming both of the above. If, and only if, you check that box, you waive your 14-day right of withdrawal once we make the download available to you. If you do not check that box, you keep the full 14-day right of withdrawal but the download will only be made available to you after that 14-day period has expired.
3. How to exercise your right of withdrawal (when you have not waived it)
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision by an unambiguous statement (for example a letter sent by post or an email) sent to [email protected] before the 14-day period expires. You may, but are not required to, use the model withdrawal form below.

If you withdraw, we will refund all payments received from you, including the cost of delivery (where applicable), without undue delay and in any event no later than 14 days from the day we are informed of your decision. We will use the same means of payment you used for the original transaction, unless you expressly agree otherwise. You will not incur any fees as a result of the refund.
4. Customers outside the EU and UK
If you are not entitled to a statutory right of withdrawal, we offer a goodwill refund within 14 days of purchase under the following conditions:
- You contact us at [email protected] within 14 days of the purchase;
- You have not used the Software substantially. As a guideline, this means you have launched the Software no more than three (3) times and have not used it to protect or process production workbooks. We reserve discretion to assess whether use is substantial.
Goodwill refunds are not a statutory right and we may refuse them in cases of suspected fraud, abuse, or breach of the Terms of Service or EULA.
5. Cases in which a refund is not available
We do not offer refunds in the following cases:
- You expressly waived your 14-day right of withdrawal at checkout and the download has been made available to you;
- The 14-day period has expired and you are not entitled to a goodwill refund under section 4;
- Your license has been suspended or terminated due to a breach of the Terms of Service or the EULA;
- You experience problems caused by your environment (for example incompatible Excel version, missing administrator rights, third-party security software blocking the Software, lack of internet connection) which we cannot reasonably resolve, and you have not allowed us a reasonable opportunity to assist;
- You bought the Software from a third-party reseller; in that case, refunds are governed by the reseller's policy.
6. Subscription renewals
If you have an annual subscription license, it will renew automatically at the end of each term unless you cancel it before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time by emailing [email protected]. After a renewal payment has been processed, refunds for the renewal are at our discretion in accordance with section 4.
7. Defective digital content
If the Software is defective and we are unable to bring it into conformity within a reasonable time, you have the rights granted to you by applicable consumer law, which may include a price reduction or termination of the contract with a refund. Nothing in this Refund Policy limits those rights.
8. Chargebacks
Before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer, please contact us at [email protected]. We will work with you to resolve the issue. If a chargeback is initiated without contacting us first, we may suspend your license until the dispute is resolved, and the chargeback may be a ground for terminating your license under the EULA. We may also recover from you, by lawful means, costs we incur as a result of an unjustified chargeback.
9. How to request a refund
Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Refund request", including your order reference and the email address used at purchase. We aim to respond within 5 business days and, where a refund is granted, to process it within 14 days.
